Detectives are working around the clock to investigate a mass shooting on Kidder Street

Wilmington Police Department Detectives have been following up leads and gathering evidence since Saturday's incident. "Wilmington Police Department detectives continue to work around the clock,” according to WPD spokesperson Olivia Brenner-Baker in an interview with local channel 6 news station WWAY News 3 yesterday evening just minutes after midnight when she spoke about how officers were still at home processing their personal effects from this terrible event while others worked tirelessly trying find who was responsible for killing 4 people and injuring 7 more before turning themselves into police.

WECT was able to acquire the 911 calls from Saturday night, which provided confirmation as to where and when this shooting occurred. When reached for comment Mayor Bill Saffo refused an interview with WECT but he did offer a statement in regards to what is being done by his administration at present time. Chief of Police Donny Williams also declined on-camera interviews with our reporters while stating that they are monitoring all leads carefully since there's been no substantial evidence found yet linking any party or individual involved so far. Memorials have now begun popping up around town mourning those who lost their lives last weekend after shots rang out during one of the city’s most popular parties.
